According to Andy Gramsky, a pest control specialist in Ohio, bed bugs (Cimex lectularius) are frequently found in offices, apartments, hotels/motels, nursing homes, and daycares. They commonly hide in box springs, headboards footboards of a bed frame, behind picture frames, woodwork around windows and doors, behind baseboards, or cracks in floors and furniture. Most people don’t know they have bed bugs until they see bite marks on their body.
In addition to the places Gramsky reports, we have also treated for bed bugs in places such as the cabs of semi-trucks, storage facilities, and moving vans. Bad infestations can even have bed bugs behind light or electrical plate covers or in ceiling light fixtures. Because bed bugs can be so elusive, it is best to have a professional exterminator inspect your location for bed bugs. Give us a call for a free inspection if you think you may have bed bugs.
