Don’t Let the Bed Bugs Bite, Even In A Hospital Bed

The East Alabama Medical Center has reported a bed bug (Cimex lectularius) outbreak they are attempting to handle together with pest control specialists. As they mentioned, it is not uncommon to find bed bugs in places where people frequently come and go such as a hospital, hotel, or movie theater. Reports also frequently come in about bed bugs being found in locations such as a library or restaurant.

With all the news lately about public location attempting to conceal bed bug outbreaks, it’s nice to see a location such as the East Alabama Medical Center sending out public notice about the outbreak and attempted resolutions. Bed bugs are becoming an increasing problem across the United States and an outbreak does not mean the location is dirty.
